Rodeo Day...

Sunday, February 24th, 2008 ...Rodeo Day! The kids were so excited and asking all week if it was "Rodeo Day" yet. So, Sunday (Rodeo Finals), we all dressed up in our cowboy/cowgirl gear and headed out for the Rodeo grounds. It was hot! 84 degrees! We waited in a LONG line to get our tickets. About 20 minutes into our wait...they closed the ticket counters saying "Sold Out"... Oh, the kids were so disappointed! Collin started crying, not understanding of course, why we couldn't get in. We headed back out across the parking lot and this man walked up and asked if we were looking for tickets. He explained that his wife was with the Drill Team and he had a few extras. We offered to buy them but he said no... they were free! (The tickets were running $20 a pop). Needless to say, we were thrilled!! What luck! The seats were fantastic - right next to the shoots! Here are a few pics from our day!

Another layout...."Cousins"

I started this layout awhile back but just couldn't get it right -so it sat for awhile on my desk. I started working on it again today and I like the finished result! I used pictures that my cousin Karma gave me (aren't they the cutest??!) and I used the "Cosmo Cricket - Gretel" paper collection...

I'm not very good at photographing layouts. The second picture bowed a bit when I stood it up to take the picture and it makes the pictures look like they aren't lined up straight ..but they are.

My latest layout...

I really love my new CTMH "Imagine" and "Cherish" layout design books! Since I don't have a lot of time to scrapbook they've really helped me out with the most difficult part of scrapbooking (for me)...the design. I used "Cherish's" layout called, "Creative Rhythm" on this one and I also used a CTMH paper kit making it all the better... since papers and embellishments all coordinated.

Check out my Slide Show!

It's a Winter Wonderland today!

It's snowing out!!!!! Okay, so if you live in the east or the midwest this is no big deal...but here in Southern Arizona this is HUGE!!! It would be more exciting if I wasn't at the tail end of the flu and could go outside for more than a few minutes and get some really cool macro shots of cactus w/ snow on them. Anyway, it's really pretty but it's melting as I type and will probably be gone in a few hours. (And that is one of the things I LOVE about Arizona!)
